Andy Anderson, Chief Design Officer
With over 35 years of experience, Andy’s talents range from purchasing to planning and developing new product lines. He introduced a vast collection of dolls, ribbon and home decor for the gift and floral trades. With an international network, Andy says “My overseas relationships with manufacturers and artists are based on integrity and respect, while building marketing opportunities with multi-national partners”.
Francisco Yepo, Design Director
With degrees in both fashion and interior design, Francisco worked in his own design studio before joining Katherine’s Collection in 2001. With his unique style and fashion, he quickly became an integral part of our award winning visual display team and played a major role in product development.
Kellie Anderson, Designer
Kellie has been a freelance designer for Simplicity Pattern Company designing top selling halloween costumes and spent several years in the costume shop at Carousel Dinner Theatre. “I love bringing life back to vintage items” says Kellie. She joined the Katherine’s team in 1999, and has flourished in Product Development as well as Samples Coordinator.
Mena Merendino, Designer
After receiving her masters degree in painting, Mena taught figure drawing for several years before she joined the Katherine’s team 12 years ago. Her role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including research and development of costume design as well as fabric and color coordination. “I love researching costumes and finding odd details from obscure sources, it’s like being on a treasure hunt”.
Donna Miranda, Pattern Maker
Donna worked as a production pattern maker for 17 years with Dalton Industries, Bobby Brooks and Byer California. "My love of fashion history and costume design is what moves me to expand my talents on a larger scale”. Donnas artwork is found in museums worldwide with clients including Michael Jackson and Nike. Donna refined her skills in toy making working with American Greetings and Step 2 before joining the Katherine’s Collection family which she has called home for 20 years.
Jennifer Pies, Graphic Designer
Jen has over 20 years experience in the publication and design field, having worked in the Creative Services department at Ernst & Young as well as high profile magazines in the Los Angeles and Cleveland areas, winning numerous design awards. “I’ve been drawing since I was a child. There was nothing else I ever wanted to devote my life to. My creativity comes from a lifetime of experiences and the talented artists around me are so inspiring”. Katherine’s welcomed Jen on board in September of 2010.
Tom Strine, Sculptor
Tom comes from a background at Walt Disney World where he worked as senior artist and character sculptor. After 20 years sculpting Disney characters, he freelanced for Bradford Exchange, Franklin Mint and American Greetings among others, sculpting a wide range of products. “Playing with clay has been my passion since childhood”, says Tom. “Today, my inner child inspires my character creations”. Tom has been associated with Katherine’s Collection since 2003 as a designer and sculptor.
Carol Tomasik, Painter
Carol is a signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA), showing her work in juried shows around the country. Carol has been published in CPSA publications, winning numerous awards and has sold her hand-painted silk clothing nationally. With a lifetime of dedication to her art, Carol’s inspiration is found at art museums, antique shops and during her travels. “One thing is certain” says Carol, “there are not enough hours in the day for me to create all the ideas in my head”.
Raymond Pagdanganan, Designer
Raymond graduated from the University of Santo Tomas and holds a degree in Communication Arts and Advertising from the College of Fine Arts and Architecture. He's been designing professionally for more than a decade and discovered his talent for drawing early in life. At age 5, Raymond was selling his robot drawings of the then popular cartoon Voltes Five to his playmates and hasn’t stopped since.
